Maya gives her Aunt Jennifer a giant Teddy bear in hopes of helping her feel better from the flu/cold/hangnail from which she was suffering.
We are creating this site so our family near and far can watch Maya grow. We love you all.

We celebrated the first half of Christmas extra early this year since we wouldn't be able to make another visit before then. Maya helped with passing out the gifts but wasn't that into opening them, which was ok since Jacob was standing by to assist anyone in need. As an added bonus to all the presents she received, Maya got to play with Aubrie and Jacob's toys. Aubrie was fine with Maya running around with her brand new doll but as soon as Jacob's car was out of the box, he was convinced Maya was out to keep it as her own. In Jacob's defence, Maya really was trying to get her hands on it.

Keeping her occupied.
Cooking and still refusing to give up her "treasure".
Learning why it is bad to throw baby wipes all over her room.
Several times I've had to scrub down our furniture thanks to Maya using it as a giant handkerchief, really, she will actually press her nose against the cushions and start walking. It's beyond disgusting. If this is what girls do I can't begin to imagine what she would be up to if she was a boy, probably just serenading me from the bathroom.
I can't stress enough how crazy she has been lately. She will be playing happily on the floor and, out of nowhere, just start freaking out. These moments of insanity can happen anywhere and at any time. The strangest part is what makes her stop. The other day Maya was having a breakdown and I handed her a slice of bread, suddenly the sun came out, birds started singing and all was right in the world. Is it normal to be scared of your toddler?
Our attempt to please it.
